YOUR STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO A GLAMOROUS U
Step 6 WHY USE BLUSHER? The subtle use of blusher in the right places can brighten up your whole face & manages to pull the whole make-up look together beautifully, making it appear more natural… HOW TO USE BLUSHER Powder blusher should always be used with a large, soft brush very sparingly.Too much can have the opposite effect, making U look over done (like a doll) or can make U appear older (which none of us want.) If U have a fair skin, be sure to use really soft hues for e.g. light rose, pinks or peaches. If U have a medium to olive skin tone, U can use slightly deeper hues of pink, plum & red in your blush. For a darker skin tone, stay away from light pigments as they will cause your skin to look ashy. Go for your deep pinks (magenta), reds & purples. STAR TIP:Bobby Brown’s- Lips & Cheeks cream is a must for your hand bag, ensuring U are always ready for a little touch up. They come in beautiful colours like Blushed Rose & Velvet Plumb. WHERE SHOULD IT GO? The placement of blusher differs slightly depending on the shape of your face, but as a general rule should 1st go on the APPLES of your cheeks. Always work in an up & outward direction from your apple, along the cheek bone towards the ear. Only if U have a really square or rounded shape face,
should your blusher be a little less on the apple & more on the contoured area under the cheekbone. CREAM OR POWDER? Cream blushers are perfect for a dewier, softer finish, when U want to look like U’ve just stepped off the beach. Cream can be used without foundation & can go on the lips & eyelids for an all over natural look. Powder blush is for a smoother more blended finish & is to be used over a powdered foundation, not on bare skin. STAR TIP:Always use what’s left on your brush to dust over your forehead, down the nose & around the jaw line- This is what balances the whole make-up & use of colour on your face... U B .beautiful.’s next newsletter is all about how to accentuate those .beautiful. eyes. |
